Technical assistance management and coordination

A Technical Assistance Coordination (TAC) Task Force meets once a month. It is chaired by ITTC and comprises the focal points from WTO divisions involved with delivering the WTO's technical assistance and trade capacity-building programmes.

The Task Force coordinates the design and implementation of policies in the two-year Technical Assistance Plans. These policies include, the results-based management approach, the Progressive Learning Strategy, e-Learning, regional seminars, academic programmes, the WTO Chairs Programme and the reference centres network as well as other issues relating to the implementation of TA activities. The main objectives of the Task Force are to:

  • discuss and review upcoming trade capacity-building events
  • share experience, coordinate lines of action and draw lessons from past activities.
