DÉVELOPPEMENT: ATELIER — 8-9 AVRIL 2013
Atelier sur le commerce électronique, le développement et les petites et moyennes entreprises (PME)
Un atelier aura lieu les lundi 8 et mardi 9 avril 2013 à l’OMC afin de mettre en évidence le lien entre le commerce électronique et le développement et d’examiner comment les PME des pays en développement utilisent le commerce électronique pour la promotion, la commercialisation, l’entretien et la vente de leurs produits au niveau national et à l’étranger. L’atelier portera principalement sur les possibilités et les difficultés rencontrés par les pays en développement et évaluera dans quelle mesure ces questions en rapport avec des infrastructures, une réglementation et des investissements suffisants dans le domaine des télécommunications aident ou gênent les PME dans la recherche de nouvelles possibilités offertes par le commerce électronique.

The two-day workshop will feature presentations by representatives from the public and private sector. Experts from non-governmental organizations and academia are also being invited as speakers. A key focus of the workshop will be on how companies and governments operate in the area of e-commerce and Information Communications Technology in general and what is being done to help small rural communities and businesses improve their productive, commercial and business performance.
